Google's Geo Developers Blog recently featured a guest article from Insight4 developers which shared insight into their clustering technique developed for Travellr.com's Map Interface. The article provides an overview of how to structure and aggregate location-based data in an efficient and scalable manner to build map-based services.
Travellr is a new online answers service designed to help people find the best, most relevant and personalized advice and local knowledge about anywhere in the world. Travellr is an Insight4 company and was founded by Ian Cumming (a senior partner of Insight4) and Scott Woodhouse, from investment partner In-tellinc.
Travellr has won a number of awards, including the CeBIT Webciety Wildcard, and featured in the Rust Report of "Aussies worth watching".
